Animal Kingdom was one of the most highly praised films to come out of the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, winning the World Cinema Dramatic Grand Jury Prize. It is an Australian crime thriller directed by Davis Michod, and starring Guy Pearce (The Hurt Locker), Joel Edgerton (Star Wars Prequels) and Luke Ford (The Mummy 3).
The film centers on 17-year-old Joshua Cody (James Frecheville) trying to survive a criminal family with the help from a Cop (Pearce). Here's the trailer:
Sony Pictures Classic has picked it up for a international release, however, there is yet to be a released date.
