Gossip Girl's Blake Lively has been cast as The Green Lantern's leading lady Carol Ferris.Latino Review posted a while ago four other ladies being considered for the role ie. Bond Girl Eva Green, Basterd Diane Kruger, Elektra Jennifer Garner and Keri Russell. This is great news, I'm a fan of all of those considered and I didn't mind if either were cast. She will now prepare for March when the movie starts shooting in Louisiana joining NZ born Director Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) and Ryan Reynolds who was cast as The Green Lantern July last year.
Release date for The Green Lantern is 17 June 2011.
